What do I need to do to submit a manuscript?

Please refer to the Guide to Submitting Manuscripts for submission and formatting details concerning manuscripts. Remember, deadline for inclusion in the proceedings is August 1, 2010.

I submitted an abstract but never heard back. How do I know if it was received?

Program Committee Co-Chair Kevin Meyer will reply by email to everyone he has received an abstract from. If you did not hear back from him it means he didn't get your abstract. Please send it again and call to confirm receipt.

I want to publish this later in a refereed journal. Will this cause dual publication problems?

The proceedings of this meeting will be edited but not peer-reviewed. Thus, any paper included in the Proceedings can be submitted to a refereed journal.

If I provide a poster presentation, will I have to submit a manuscript?

No, authors of poster presentations should not submit manuscripts. If you would like to publish an extended abstract, we will include it in the proceedings. The extended abstracts cannot exceed 3 pages.

When do I have to submit my manuscript?

Authors of presentations chosen for the symposium must submit a complete manuscript ready for publication in the Symposium Proceedings no later than August 1, 2010.

When will I hear if my paper has been accepted?

The program committee will review papers and notify presenters by May 4, 2010.

How do I publish an extended abstract?

For format issues, consult the Guide to Submitting Manuscripts and see the Symposium Paper Example. Length should not exceed 1200 words. No figures or tables. No references.
