Publication FAQ
Manuscripts are due by August 31, 2007 to Robert Carline f7u@psu.edu
Q. What do I need to do to submit a manuscript?
A. Please refer to the Guide to Submitting Manuscripts for submission and formatting details concerning manuscripts. Remember, deadline for inclusion in the proceedings is August 31, 2007
Q: I submitted an abstract but never heard back. How do I know if it was received?
A: Program Committee Co-Chair Dirk Miller responded by email to everyone that he received an abstract from. If you did not hear back from him it means he didn't get your abstract. You should send it again and call to confirm receipt. Some abstracts were lost and had to be sent more than once to get through.

Q: I want to publish this later in a refereed journal. Will this cause dual publication problems?

Q: If I provide a poster presentation, will I have to submit a manuscript?
A: No, authors of poster presentations should not submit manuscripts. If you would like to publish an extended abstract, we will include it in the proceedings. The extended abstracts cannot exceed 3 pages.
Q: When do I have to submit my manuscript?
A: Authors of presentations chosen for the symposium must submit a complete manuscript ready for publication in the Symposium Proceedings no later than August 31, 2007.
Q: When will I hear if my paper has been accepted?
A: The program committee will review papers and notify presenters by May 4, 2007.
Q: How do I publish an extended abstract?
A: For format issues, authors should consult the Author Guidelines and see Symposium Paper Example. Length should not exceed 1200 words. No figures or tables. No references.
